Important Announcements

The Red Bluff Office will be closed on Friday, March 29, 2024 for Good Friday.

The Red Bluff Board of Directors voted to make no water allotment for the 2024 water year.

About Red Bluff

Red Bluff Dam and Reservoir is located on the Pecos River in Loving and Reeves counties. Red Bluff Reservoir is 50 miles from Pecos, Texas, and 40 miles from Carlsbad, New Mexico.

Red Bluff Reservoir is privately owned and operated by the Red Bluff Water Power Control District. Red Bluff Reservoir was created to manage the irrigation water supply for seven irrigation districts:

  • Loving County WID #1

  • Reeves County WID #2

  • Ward County Irrigation District #3

  • Ward County Irrigation District #1

  • Ward County WID #2

  • Pecos County WID #2

  • Pecos County WID #3
